Il accompagne, entre autres, les enseignants dans la formation et l’intégration de la technologie en salle de classe. 	Greg Ayrheart Teacher Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board Greg Ayrheart has been a teacher for 33 years in various public and private elementary and secondary schools. During that time, he completed his Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has taught grades 1 through 12 and has integrated computers all along the way. As part of these years, 15 of them were spent as an administrator. Greg has been using Apple Computers since 1982 and currently is enjoying using his “phablet,” his iPhone 6 Plus as a replacement for his iPad.

	Louise Bernardini I.T. Coordinator / IT4 Learning Trainer District School Board of Niagara Louise Bernardini is an I.T. Coordinator and part of the IT4 Learning training team at the DSBN. Her role is to provide technology training and technical support to staff and students. Prior to working at DSBN, Louise was self employed as a trainer focusing mainly on Microsoft training in the private and public sectors. She has her Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

	Andrew Bieronski Teacher WRDSB Andrew Bieronski is a high school teacher in the Futures Forum Project at Huron Heights Secondary School in Kitchener, ON, which is part of the Waterloo Region District School Board. He is passionate about finding ways to leverage technology in the classroom to improve student learning and achievement. Andrew serves as an Educational Technology Mentor to startup companies that are part of the University of Waterloo’s Velocity program and is the founder and director of TEDxKitchenerED.

	Paul Bisson Principal GECDSB Paul has been a Principal for the GECDSB for the past 17 years. Prior to that he has the president of the local federation for two years. He is a French Immersion teacher who has taught in both the elementary and secondary schools. He is currently the co-principal of a K-1 French Immersion school in Tecumseh where their motto is “We are better together”.

	Heather Black Instructional Coach Peel District School Board Heather Black is an Instructional Coach with the Peel District School Board. She works alongside teachers and administrators to implement board and ministry initiatives.

	Mr. Jimmy Blackwood Teacher Peel District School Board Jimmy is a Geography teacher and Social Sciences Head at Rick Hansen Secondary School who focusses on the effective use of technology to empower students to share their learning with a global audience. His classroom features a podcast studio in which students produce podcasts and live internet broadcasts on various global issues.

	Mars Bloch Vice-President Programs Let’s Talk Science Dr. Marietta (Mars) Bloch is Vice-President Programs (interim) at Let’s Talk Science where she manages program development for Let’s Talk Science resources that support early years and Kindergarten to Grade 12 educators and students. Here, Mars works along with Program Managers and other members of their teams to develop, organize and facilitate professional learning opportunities for educators such as workshops and Summer Institutes. Prior to joining Let’s Talk Science in 2004, Mars has extensive expertise in the formal educator sector as a teacher, consultant, coordinator, and resource and curriculum developer. Her leadership roles include Program Coordinator for the Toronto District School Board, Course Director at York University’s Faculty of Education (Mathematics, Science and Technology program), an Ontario representative for the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada’s (CMEC) development of the Pan-Canadian Protocol for Collaboration on School Curriculum (Science); Director of In-service for Science and Technology at Thompson Learning Nelson Publishing; and leading the CMEC working group in the development of the Pan-Canadian Science Assessment Program for Canadian Grade 8 students. In 2002-03, Mars was president of the Science Teachers’ Association of Ontario. She is a founding co-chair of the Science & Technology Awareness Network, and is a recipient of the Marshal McLuhan Distinguished Teacher Award and of the Jack Bell Leadership Award in Science.

	Alison Board Teaching & Learning Coach TDSB Alison is a Teaching and Learning Coach at Model Schools for Inner Cities in TDSB. She currently works with teachers to share innovative teaching and learning practices that support student achievement for all. As a classroom teacher, Alison used a strong foundation of inquiry-based learning to adapt initiatives such as STEM and the integration of technology. She has presented her own research at various workshops and conferences, and continues to document how rigorous and integrated practice leads to student success through student voice and engagement.

	Joanne Borges teacher/ed tech consultant LDSB/ Fair Chance Learning I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and currently a Vice-Principal/Student Support Teacher for Limestone District School Board with over 20 years of elementary teaching in all grades K-8. Most recently, I have worked as a system Connected Technology Teacher assisting in the integration of educational technology for deeper learning and student success, as well as an educational consultant for Fair Chance Learning. Areas of expertise include professional development for educators in classroom integration of technology and pedagogy, digital citizenship, BYOD, social media and digital literacy as school cultures shift towards modern learning environments. I recently completed a Master of Education degree focussed on technology integration for sustainable change from Queen’s University.

	Zoe Branigan-Pipe Teacher HWDSB Zoe is a qualified Ontario Teacher who has taught in the classroom for the last 15 years and works in consultant and leadership roles intermittently. She is presently a teacher for the Gifted Program at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board in Ontario and Instructor for Brock University. She is respected and well known for her creative ability to integrate the arts, differentiate instruction and use innovative teaching aamethods and tools to engage all learners and always with a focus on Social Justice and Global Awareness.. Zoe is a TedX speaker and a strong advocate for multimedia tools and assistive technologies that open doors and opportunities for all students.

	Karen Brooks Nelson Education Consultant Advanced Education Karen Brooks Nelson is a certified SMART trainer who has travelled North America sharing her knowledge of interactive technologies. She takes pride in helping teachers breathe life into their curriculum with fresh but simple ideas that can be created in minutes. Karen has a background as a teacher and educational technology consultant for an Ontario school board. She was long standing member of the Central Ontario Computer Association (COCA) and a provincial representative for the Ontario Software Acquisition Program Advisory Committee (OSAPAC). Upon leaving teaching she joined Advanced Presentations where she focussed on developing an expertise in student collaboration, teacher education, and engagement in the 21st century classroom.

	Rebecca Bunz Teacher DSBN Rebecca Bunz (BSc & BEd) is a Master of Education student at Brock University. She is also a certified teacher within the DSBN and teaches Mathematics for J/I Teacher Candidates in the Teacher Education program at Brock University. 	Peter Cameron Teacher TBCDSB Peter Cameron is a teacher with twenty years of teaching experience at the junior level. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator and SMART Exemplary Educator and an experienced and proven leader in the integration of all types of technologies within the classroom. Peter’s class, their projects and initiatives have been featured on the CTV News site, CBC’s As it Happens and The Owl Magazine. His students have received accolades from dignitaries from around the world! Peter Cameron believes in the power of connections, student voice and leveraging technology to make a positive difference in the world. 	Andrew Campbell Teacher Grand Erie DSB I am the father of three teenage sons, an educator, a writer and a thinker about education and technology. I was born and grew up in the north of England and came to Canada in my teens. Educated at the universities of Guelph, McMaster and Toronto, I was a successful elite soccer coach with The University of Guelph and The Oakville Soccer Club before moving into teaching. After eight years with The Toronto District School Board I accepted a position to teach at The American International School in Kuwait. I returned to Canada in 2001 and I am currently a Grade 5 teacher in Brantford, Ontario. I write about education and technology on this blog. My thoughts on education have been published in The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, The Hamilton Spectator, The Brantford Expositor and on The Canadian Educational Association website and The National Education Policy Center (US) website. I have been interviewed about education on Rogers Television, CBC and private radio and on several podcasts. I speak publicly about education, present at education conferences in Canada and the US and to parent groups in Ontario. I live in Hamilton, Ontario.

	Rodolfo Candela Teacher Limestone District School Board Rodolfo (Rudy) is an elementary school teacher with 18 years teaching experience in junior and intermediate classrooms. He has taught in Vancouver, Toronto and Kingston. He attended the Mathematics, Science and Technology Teacher Education Program at York University. He currently teaches in an enriched grade 7 class and is involved in many technology initiatives in the Limestone District School Board.

	Kathleen Carr Classroom Teacher & Teacher Technology Coach Avon-Maitland District School Board I am one of a team of four elementary teacher/tech coaches in the AMDSB, supporting students and teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 8. As coaches, we are available to all teachers and students; whether they work in a one-to-one environment or when a classroom has just one teacher iPad. Our role includes working to connect the right technology to engage kids to the curriculum, to support teachers to assess student understanding and to transition learning spaces and practices to mobile technologies.

	Gen-Ling Chang Director Equity Projects The Learning Partnership Gen Ling Chang is currently Director Equity Projects with The Learning Partnership. She was the former Associate Director, Toronto District School Board for Student Achievement, Well-being and Academics K-12. In a secondment to the Ministry of Education as a Senior Specialist with The Literacy & Numeracy Secretariat, Student Achievement Division, she had the privilege of working on school and system improvement with all the English District School Boards across Ontario. She taught outside Canada and in Canada, in secondary and elementary schools, and worked as a senior researcher with the Ontario Studies in Education. To design and scale innovative and future-oriented education, her leadership work ranges from developing networks of learning among leaders and teachers to collaborating on programs with business and not-for-profit organizations. As a strong advocate of public education, she champions student right to learn in a safe, caring environment, new and emerging ways of learning that engages imagination, inquiry, voice and choice, and equity of opportunities for all students, in particular closing the digital gap.

	Nikolaos Chatzopoulos Director of Innovation Plato Academy Schools Nikolaos Chatzopoulos (Nik) is currently the Director of Innovation and Educational Technology Coordinator at Superior Schools, the management company of Plato Academy Schools in the Tampa Bay Area. He is also the host and organizer of ST4T, an annual EdTech conference in Clearwater, FL. He is also the co-founder of EdCampTampaBay. Nik is a Kahoot Founding Ambassador, and he is also an Osmo, Augthat and Book Creator Ambassador.Nik has taught Elementary Math and Science for 11 years in public and charter schools in the Tampa Bay Area. His work has been featured on EdTechTeacher’s blogs, at Edudemic, and at Daily Genius, where he is a regular contributor. Nik is also an experienced presenter, speaker, and trainer that has presented at FETC, ST4T, FCSC, Miami Device, EdTechTeacher’s iPad Summit, and at Daytona College.


	Sandra Chow Teacher Toronto District School Board Sandra Chow is a grade 5/6 teacher at Joyce Public School, a K-6 school with the Toronto District School Board. Joyce Public School is a SMART Showcase Elite School and has won awards including the Mindshare Learning Award in 2013 and two National Technology Innovation awards with the Learning Partnership. Sandra has taught in multiple grades, worked as a teacher librarian in Taiwan, and has lead workshops on integrating technology in education, internationally and throughout Ontario. She is a SMART Exemplary Educator, Google Certified Teacher and Google Certified Trainer.

	Mike Clare Sessional Instructor Fac of Edn UOIT University of Ontario Institute of Technology Mike has worked with the York Region District School Board for over 30 years. In that time Mike has been a Department Head in two schools and has been seconded to Historica for a number of years. Mike has a Masters Degree in Education focusing on digital applications to the teaching of history and social sciences. Currently Mike is doing contract work with The University of Ontario while developing combined curriculum digital resources with The National Council for Social Studies in the United States and various provincial history teachers associations in Canada. A few sample topics are: 1776 & The Loyalists, The War of 1812 etc. Mike is also on the executive of Ontario History and Social Science Teachers Association (OHASSTA) and has published teachers’ guides and numerous articles in Educational Journals.

	Linda Clarkstone Library Technician Westlane Secondary School, DSBN Linda Judd Clarkstone has been a Library Technician with the District School Board of Niagara for 16 years. Upon graduating from a DSBN school, she began post-secondary education at Brigham Young University in elementary education. Shortly thereafter, she changed course to pursue a career in the library field, an area she was passionate about. Her love of libraries began as an elementary student, when she volunteered at the Niagara Falls Public Library in the Children’s Department, and later at the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU. She is a graduate of the Library and Information Technology Program at Mohawk College. She has worked in many DSBN school libraries, preparing them for automation. Linda has been the Library Technician at Westlane Secondary School in Niagara Falls for 12 years now. She is a strong advocate for literacy, continually striving to promote a love of reading among her students, and has run many successful programs. She is a longstanding member of the Ontario Library Association (OLA) and presently co-chair of the DSBN Library Subject Council.

	Nicholas Contant Educational Technologist Brock University Nicholas Contant is a graduate of the BA in Interactive Arts and Science (Honors) and current graduate student of Brock University’s Master of Education (MEd) program. Through research opportunities in the MEd program, Nicholas has furthered his research interest in educational technology and online teaching and learning. Nicholas also serves as an Educational Technologist with the Adult Education program, where he applies informed practice to enhance their online course delivery.

	Michael Cooper Director of Development and Government Relations The Learning Partnership Michael has an extensive history in development, communications and government relations. Prior to his role at The Learning Partnership, Michael has held roles at Operation Springboard, First Nation consulting firm Bell & Bernard Limited, and the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (now Futurepreneur). He has an extensive history of government relations having served as a Special Assistant in the office of the former Prime Minister Paul Martin. Michael was born in Toronto and raised in Innisfil, Ontario, before going to Queen’s University. He resides in Mississauga along with his wife and two children.

	Michelle Cordy Teacher, Applied Researcher Thames Valley District School Board Michelle Cordy is a teacher and applied researcher. She began teaching in 2001, and has taught in both K-12 and higher education settings. Her focus has been on mathematics education and technology integration. Michelle also engages in classroom-based research with partners from academic institutions as well as industry partners. Currently, she teaches grade 3 with 1:1 iPad. She is a Google Certified Innovator, an Apple Distinguished Educator, and holds a Master of Education in Mathematics and Science education.

	Terri Corneil 21CL Consultant – Assistive Technology HWDSB Terri Corneil has been an educator for 26 years with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. Her career has taken her from the classroom to a Teacher Librarian/ Technology role, to a Resource Teacher for Special Needs students. Now with the portfolio of Assistive Technology Consultant and SEA Claim Coordinator for Hamilton Wentworth, Terri enjoys building capacity with board and school staff. 	Alec Couros Associate professor of educational technology and media University of Regina Alec Couros is an associate professor of educational technology and media at the Faculty of Education, University of Regina, in Saskatchewan, Canada. An award-winning educator, Alec helps his undergraduate and graduate students take up the incredible affordances of our connected world through the integration of educational technology in teaching and learning. Alec is also a well-recognized scholar and researcher who has given hundreds of keynotes and workshops around the globe on diverse topics such as connected/networked learning, digital citizenship, social media in education, and critical media literacy, providing educators, students, and parents with the knowledge necessary to take advantage of and thrive in our new digital reality. 	Mr Justin Davoh Consultant CSViamonde Originaire du Bénin, Justin Davoh a poursuivi ses études en Allemagne et en Belgique et est devenu ingénieur informaticien. Dès son arrivée au Canada, il accepte un poste d’enseignement à l’Université de Sherbrooke. Après un passage dans plusieurs écoles multiethniques de Montréal, il a accepté un poste d’enseignant au Conseil scolaire francophone provincial de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. En août 2012, il enseigne en Saskatchewan au Centre d’enseignement virtuel et d’innovation. Depuis 2014, il s’est joint à l’équipe du conseil scolaire Viamonde en tant que conseiller pédagogique responsable de l’environnement d’apprentissage virtuel et accompagne les enseignants dans le développement de stratégies permettant l’acquisition des compétences du 21e siècle de leurs élèves.

She has a MET (Master of Educational Technology) from the University of British Columbia and a M.Ed. from the University of Toronto, OISE. Interests include the application of digital technologies to teacher education, digital storytelling, e-portfolios, mentoring in education and designing, curating and activating learning with technology.

	Kaylyn Dorland Teacher HCDSB Kaylyn Dorland is a grade 2 teacher from the Halton Catholic District School Board, where she has been teaching since 2011. She is the founder of #WHOtoYOU, a global, collaborative project that provides students the opportunity to connect, create and co-present a project on Sway. Dorland successfully uses OneNote, Sway, Learning Tools, Minecraft, Code.org and Skype on a regular basis in her classroom. Part of being a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert also took Dorland on a week-long Microsoft Educator Exchange Global Forum in Redmond, Washington in the Spring of 2015. At the Microsoft Educator Exchange, Dorland collaborated with 300 teachers from all over the world including Finland, El Salvador, Japan and Indonesia where her and her four team members won runner-up for best project plan. Her long-term goal is to expand #WHOtoYOU and teach other teachers how to connect and collaborate with classrooms from all over the world. In her fifth year as a primary teacher, Dorland has now progressed to the status of Microsoft Innovative Educator Fellow, where she works closely with 21st century teaching leads, speaks for Microsoft webinars and webcasts as well as post a 21st century article, “A Day in the Life” on Edsurge (current, educational “hot-topic” website) She also trains and consults fellow educators and administrators on how to use Microsoft products in the classroom in meaningful and productive ways.

	Shaun Elder Executive Director The Royal Conservatory – Learning Through the Arts As Executive Director of one of Canada’s most respected arts education initiatives, The Royal Conservatory’s Learning Through the Arts, Shaun Elder has brought a renewed focus on supporting teacher capacity through the creation of innovative teacher professional learning programming. Discussions with Calgary Board of Education (CBE) about the future of arts education led to a groundbreaking 2015 partnership. CBE instructional leaders are working alongside LTTA facilitators to co-construct teacher professional learning programming in the digital media arts. The partnership aims to support teachers in the design of personalized learning and to make learning visible for Grade 5-10 students. Shaun has been involved with Learning Through the Arts since its inception as a pilot project in the then North York Board of Education (now Toronto District School Board) in 1994, helping build relationships with Ministries of Education and funders, and later, leading early efforts to provide digital access to the program’s wealth of learning resources and lesson plans. Shaun has dedicated much of his career to exploring how interactive digital media tools can expand access to creative thinking processes for youth. He believes that students are more engaged in learning when given permission to explore the thought processes behind the works and ideas they are studying, and are invited to embody their own point of view. Shaun has a ten year history of developing tools for music creation and learning, both at the Royal Conservatory and through his own start-up company. His innovative music creation app Piano Invention was described by The Music Void as ‘breaking new ground’. Shaun is a composer and violist. Kristen has been the Project Leader for Managing Information for Student Achievement (MISA), Teacher Learning and Leadership Program (TLLP) and Provincial Knowledge Exchange (PKE) projects focused on numeracy achievement in K-9 classrooms. 	Tania Fera-VanGent Professor of Communications Niagara College Tania is a Communications Professor at Niagara College in the Department of Academic and Liberal Studies. In addition, she periodically teaches online for Ontario Learn towards the Teacher/Trainer of Adults Certificate. Tania completed a secondment as a Faculty Associate in the Centre for Academic Excellence and was a Planning Committee Member for the College Educator Development Program (CEDP Western Region). She continues to be involved in PD at Niagara College as she participates in the Part-time teacher Training Program and the College Educator Development Program as a facilitator. Her educational background includes an Honours BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Communications from Brock University, and a Certificate in Teaching Adults from Niagara College. Since 1999 Geoff has also worked to facilitate expansion of broadband in Grey County and South West Ontario. Formerly the president of the Ontario chapter of the Municipal Information Systems Association he has been a leader facilitating collaboration between municipal IT departments. 	Mitch LaPointe Program Leader/Business District School Board of Niagara One of the pioneers of blended learning, he once sat in front of my first big screen TV, which was the size of today’s Smart cars, plugged his laptop into his VCR and started recording. He recorded every single lesson in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and put them onto tapes. He set up small TVS and VCRS in the back of the room and let advanced students go back there and watch my lessons. They would come back and work on their computers and progress through the workbook at their own pace. He immediately saw greater results. Advanced learners were no longer waiting. Those who needed more help and more time could now get it. It was a huge improvement. That was 1998! Now his YouTube channel has over 200000 views, all coming to learn to use MS Office. Now his students, as young as 14 are getting MS Office User Specialist certified in his classroom.

She currently lives and works in St. Catharines, Ontario. Formerly, she worked in the sometimes exciting world of the Toronto film industry. These days, she is focused on creating stop-motion animated videos that demystify Shakespearean plays for students with learning disabilities, for students who are allergic to the Bard’s writing, and for struggling English language learners.

	Andrew Schmitt Instructional Leader TDSB Andrew Schmitt is an Instructional Leader: Teaching and Learning with Technology with the Toronto District School board. He is the co-author of a textbook designed for the International Baccalaureate program. He has his Bachelor of Science (Mathematics), Bachelor of Education (Secondary Mathematics), and Master of Educational Technology, all from the University of British Columbia. 	Karen Wilson 21 Century Learning Consultant Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board Karen is part of the 21st Century Learning team at Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board where she serves the West Cluster of schools as a K-12 Consultant. Her teaching experience includes Family Studies, Science and Teacher-Librarian in both Hamilton and Windsor. She has also enjoyed participating in collaborative writing projects for the Ministry and eLo related to Adolescent Literacy, Financial Literacy, Geography and Social Science and Humanities.

	Todd Wright Consultant Faddle Creek Todd Wright was recently Curriculum Administrator for ICT, eLearning and Learning Resource Services and Innovation Commons in the York Region District School Board. He has been an Apple Distinguished Educator, part of the Microsoft PIL original 10 and has enjoyed working with educators from around the world on ICT implementation strategies. Following many years in elementary and secondary classrooms in both Alberta and Ontario, Todd has been a Computer Resource Teacher, Curriculum Consultant and Coordinator for ICT. In his varied duties he has been part of a team that has been recognized for leadership in the area of digital literacy implementation.
	Wendy Wright Teacher/Librarian KPRDSB I am a wife, mother of 4, water polo coach, and now a technology and robotics enthusiast. Teaching is a second career for me, and I have now been teaching for 5 years. When I first went to teachers college, I chose UOIT for its technology component knowing this is futur of teaching. I’ve come a long way from being the 40 year old in the classroom almost in tears beacuse I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the laptop, and was already falling way behind! Panic!! Incentive, determination and interest are what have driven me to become the teacher and inspirator I am today. I love guiding and enhancing students learning through the use of technology. I recently was awarded a large grant for robotics equipment for our school and am currently installing a robotics lab, lego center, as well as a DYI room in my library commons. This area is trully developing into a common learning ground for all our students and staff. I am continuing to grow and learn about robotics, coding, STEM, and the various uses for technology integration in the classroom and I am very excited to share my learning with all of you.
