Understanding Your Digital Footprint (Thursday, April 26, 2018 @ 1:00 PM)
As many staff and students embrace the use of social media for home and work, it is important to learn how it can be used effectively. In this session we will look at some of the services that various groups are using. We will discuss how your digital footprint leaves a hidden trail online and what can be done with it (both the good and nefarious). Finally, your digital footprint is yours to control and we will need to be proactive in controlling our personal narrative. Specifically, we will look at how we can attempt to control what we share and to be selective in how it is shared.

We would like to share with you our strategy on how to teach teachers on the use of Assistive Technology (AT). We focus on 4 main areas, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, Word Prediction, & Content Extraction. We have students that use iPads, laptops, and Chromebooks. We show you how through the use of Read&Write for Google Chrome, the ClaroPDF app, and built-in tools of devices, that ALL staff and students can utilize AT comfortably – at school and at home.
